Agnes de Castro's speech for the miting de avance this year:
From OUR Student CounciL President
AGNES DE CASTRO
Magandang hapon po sa inyong lahat kapwa lasalyano.
Para sa akin ngayon, naka-blue man ako, wala akong nakikitang yellow at orange. Nakikiusap ako, na pakinggan natin ito bilang kapwa lasalyano.
For the first three years of my college life here in de la salle university, i have been part of the student council. I was a two-time batch representative and the college assembly representative of my beloved college. I have seen the student council's capacity. I have realized its full potential. i had so many dreams and aspirations for the student council. i had a vision. Natalo man ako bilang vice president for activities last student council general elections, up to this day, i still carry with me the passion. I know i can deliver! I still carry with me the dreams and aspirations for OUR student council!
During the start of the year i had so many plans, and being in the student council wasn't a part of it. For the first time, i was just like any other student. i was a mere spectator. i was watching from the outside. Then and there, i knew that i wanted to do something about it.
Kahit na tatlong executive committees na ang natatalo sa amin. Kahit limang presidente nang sunud-sunod ang kabilang partido. Andito pa rin ako naglalakas loob na ipaglaban ang karapatan ng bawat lasalyano!
Sa nagdaang mga araw, kahit minsan hindi ko naisip na kami ang partidong naninira. Nagtatanong kayo, "nasaan ang katotohanan?". For the first time, ang Santugon naglakas ng loob maglabas ng katotohanan. ano ba ang mali doon?
Bilang respeto sa mga current na student council officers, alam kong madami kayong nagawa. Pero ang tanong ko, naramdaman ba ito ng mga estudyante? Bilang respeto sa inyo, alam ko na naglalabas kami ng katotohanan. PERO MINSAN TALAGA, MASAKIT MARINIG ANG KATOTOHANAN!
De La Salle University, kelangan niyo ng isang student council na MULA SA ESTUDYANTE, PARA SA ESTUDYANTE, AT NG ESTUDYANTE! tama na ang pagpapanig sa ating sariling partido. ibigay naman natin sa mga estudyante ang karapat-dapat na para sa kanila. ISANG SERBISYO NA WALANG HALONG PULITIKA! isang serbisyong walang halong pang-sariling interes! WE DO NOT NEED STUDENT POLITICIANS... WHAT WE NEED ARE STUDENT LEADERS!!!
Lasalyano, dapat siguro mabahala na nga tayo. Na ang sinasabi nilang internal revamp of the student council, narinig ko na yan limang taon, actually, wala pa ako dito. Limang taon na ang nakaraan ng nilabas ng SC president ang internal revamp. Limang taon na kayong may presidente. Bakit ngayon niyo lang ulit nilalabas ang internal revamp? ang tanong ko, bakit ngayon niyo lang naisipan kung yung sabi niyo na ang tapat, long-term development programs.
Para sa akin, ang kahalagahan ngayon ng student council ay maipadama sa mga estudyante ang karapat-dapat ay kanila. At nama-maximize natin yung dapat from each executive office. Ang roles and responsibilities po ng bawat executive office are clearly defined in the student council handbook. Kung makikita niyo, ang Vice President for Academics ay ipaglalaban ang academic rights niyo at student rights. Ang ating student council treasurer ay ipaglalaban ang bawat "ku-sing" na kinukuha sa inyo ng de la salle university. Kaya ang magbabalik po, ang magdadala ng isang GENUINE STUDENT'S COUNCIL; your Vice President for Academics, Aimee Chua; your Vice President for Activities, Sars Santos; your Vice President for Operations, Christine Lacson; and for your Executive Secretary, Jessa Rena; and for your Student Council Treasurer, Nadia Ong.
Nung nagdesisyon ako tumakbo ngayong General Elections, i thought running as the Student Council President was the bravest thing i have ever done. but i was wrong. The bravest thing that we can all do, that i can do, is to provide a Student Council President that is truly OF, FOR and BY THE STUDENTS!
Once again, i am AGNES DE CASTRO, tumatakbo bilang Student Council President ng De La Salle University. SALAMAT PO!!!

[ ] you write on your school diary.
[ ] you know some Latin words.
[x] your class is noisy when theres no teacher around
[x] your class is still noisy with a teacher around
[x] you say barok words.
[x] you laugh at the people who say barok words
[x] you laugh at yourself
[x] you panic for a project.
[ ] you speak mostly English.
[x] you speak mostly Taglish
[ ] you're a conyo
[x] you like corny jokes.
[ ] you got picked up late in your pick-up after a field trip.
[x] you forgot your PE uniform at least once.
[ ] you borrow stuff from the other grade levels/sections because you forgot yours.
[x] you walked from the Main Building to Division 1 and vice versa.
[x] you like playing basketball.
[ ] you like playing volleyball.
[ ] you like playing kickball.
[ ] you bring sun block during the practices.
[x] someone in your class brings a camera.
[ ] you went to the clinic for no reason.
[x] you slept during class.
[ ] you slept during a test.
[x] you talk a lot in class.
[ ] you pass late homeworks.
[x] you go out every after exams. in grade school, we used to dress up just to go to town. haha
[ ] you like hanging stuff on your ID.

[x] you wear a jacket even if it is so hot.
[x] you go online at YM almost everyday.
[x] you call the teachers "miss" even if they are are supposed to be mrs.
[x] you keep quiet when the teacher is coming.

skating was hella fun yesterday

haha, there was this couple that had a fight and the woman ran away with the car so the gates of my village had to close down. there were huge pile-ups on both sides of the gate and i couldnt get in too, i paid the trike and told him to leave haha. after 10 minutes they opened it again

before american football becomes mainstream in the philippines... i just wanna say i've been into it for 3 years already and i've been playing flag football for the past 5 months and it is hella fun. (i miss skateboarding, that'll be back though)
